The Lovely Lake District
With two of England’s most stunningly wild National Parks and two Areas of Outstanding National Beauty (AONB) on the doorstep, the Lake District makes for an ideal location for a fun family staycation. It is home to England’s highest mountain (Scafell Pike), deepest lake (Wastwater) and steepest road (Hardknott Pass) – not to mention the hundreds of miles of footpaths and bridleways.
Surrounded by idyllic towns and villages that offer a wide array of independent shops, tearooms, and local produce, our stunning National Park provides the perfect backdrop to escape from the pressures and stresses of daily life. Whether you’re interested in hiking the Wainrights, canoeing on the lakes, exploring the countryside with your four-legged friend, or cosying up in a Lakeland pub by a roaring log fire, the Lake District has something for everyone.
