2023 was a fantastic year for us here at Long Valley Holidays, and 2024 is set to be a year full of exciting changes! There’s so much going on with glamping, camping, campervan hire and even weddings – and we can’t wait to share all our exciting plans with you! Long Valley Yurts: Exciting Updates
Fantastic news – Long Valley Yurts will be appearing in Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes later this month! He visited the Lake District in May 2023 and filmed at our Kestrel Lodge site near Keswick, along with his uncle and four dogs. They spent the weekend exploring the North Lakes, taking part in various activities from landscape painting to adrenalin activities at the Honister Slate mine.
In the words of Robson Green, Kestrel Lodge campsite is perfect for getting away from it all. Our luxury yurts are kitted out with one double bed and four single futons, so there’s plenty of space for everybody. With tons of fresh air, tranquil surroundings, and great views of Bassenthwaite Lake, it’s no surprise that guests come back time and time again to this little slice of paradise in the Lakes.

Long Valley Camping: What’s Coming in 2024?
In keeping with the theme of exciting news for 2024, our new website for Long Valley Camping is now live! We’ve been working hard on this site behind-the-scenes for some time now, and we’re thrilled to finally share our new website and offering with the world.
As well as our new website, we have loads of exciting updates coming to the campsite this year! We have teamed up with EaseEride to bring electric bike hire to Moss Howe Farm. Experience the freedom and excitement of electric biking, as you explore the breath-taking landscapes of the South Lake District and Morecambe Bay area. From just £45 per day (9am – 7pm), you can book your electric bike hire on site on the day – or alternatively, please call us on 01539 267030 for pre-booking and further details.
Long Valley Camping: EHU as Standard + More Space
This year will also see the addition of a fantastic food van at Moss Howe Farm. We will be opening our brand new on site food wagon from March 2024, serving up freshly baked bread, croissants, and pain-au-chocolat, as well as some regular themed food evenings (including pizza nights) for our campers to enjoy. You can pre-order your fresh treats on site.
In terms of changes to the site itself, we have installed more electric hook up pitches, taking us to a grand total of 10 pitches – all with electric hook up available. We’ve also removed a couple of our existing pitches in order to give you more space when camping with us.
We are pleased to announce that Moss Howe Farm Campsite will be reopening on 1st March 2024, with glamping also available from this date. Get away for less this spring with glamping breaks from just £325 including use of our wood-fired hot tubs for all weekend and midweek stays until 29th March 2024 – book now to secure your chosen dates!
