Grassington Weir

A large grassy area of riverside common with two weirs, a water slide, a waterfall, an ancient church and stepping stones. Popular, fun and safe.

Directions: Grassington is on B6265 9 miles N of Skipton. Park in Grassington village centre and walk down to the river via Sedber Lane (200m), or park S of the village (signed Linton Falls and church) on Church Lane and cross on footbridge. Best swimming is above higher weir. There’s a smooth chute (slide) on far side by ruined millhouse – fun with inflatables. Head downstream 10 mins to the stepping stones and the twelfth century riverside church of St Michael and All Angels.
