Just a hop, skip and a jump from Coniston Water in one direction and the seaside in the other, Moss Side Farm is in the ideal location for exploring the very best of all the Lake District has to offer. Situated in their own exclusive field the yurts with private Scandinavian wood fired hot tubs provide a wonderful Lake District glamping holiday with a difference.
Situated at the foot of the simply stunning and wild Duddon Valley upon a natural plateau commanding spectacular views stretching for miles over Kirkby Pool and the Duddon estuary, Moss Side Farm boasts a quiet, off the beaten track glamping holiday in one of the Lake Districts most beautiful and wild places. While you certainly feel a million miles away from anywhere it’s just a half an hours walk away along the old railway line to the beautiful village of Broughton with it’s award winning bakery, butchers as well as a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Thirty minutes walk the other way over the hill is the Blacksmiths Arms. A traditional Lakeland pub with exceptional food (booking essential).

Exclusive use of the Scandinavian wood fire hot tub with your stay available to book with all the Yurts. At 1.8m diameter it is large enough for six persons, ideal for friends, families or just great for that extra treat on a romantic break away.
Imagine yourself soaking away the hustle and bustle of everyday life watching the steam gently swirling and rising up into the night air, a better way to spend an evening I doubt you will find.

Moss Side Farm is just 15 minutes away from the picturesque traditional Lakeland village of Coniston, one of the Lake District’s most spectacular lakes and beautiful villages. Ideal for wild swimming, a cycle around the Lake, a picnic on its beautiful east side, a boat trip up the entire length of the lake or climbing the iconic “Old Man” of Coniston there’s something here for everyone. Just 15 minutes the other way, why not enjoy and ice cream on the beach at Haverigg or Silecroft or take a dip if you are feeling brave?
Further afield, it’s our closest site to the start point of the walk up England’s highest mountain, Scafell Pike or a day trip to Muncaster Castle and to take in their ‘Raptor Experience’. The ‘Laal Ratty’ a miniature train which runs from Eskdale to Ravenglass is an absolute must for any visitor to Moss Side Farm. For those seeking absolute solitude the walk up Black Coombe is magnificent.
Also available a short drive away are an array of outdoor activities. Why not try moonlit canoeing, stand up paddle boarding? Also available with our partners located in Keswick are all manner of Bushcraft experiences as well as some more traditional outdoor activities such as gorge scrambling, rock climbing or cycle hire. The Moss Side Farm site has four 18ft Yurts comfortably accommodating six persons per Yurt. A beautiful site proving a quiet retreat for families, friends and couples alike. Available from March through to November. Three of the yurta come with it’s own private Scandinavian wood fired hot tub and are located within their own exclusive camping field.
