The word ‘Ghyll’ in Ghyll Scrambling is the Cumbrian word for mountain stream and is often called Gorge Scrambling or Canyoning.

It is only natural to feel confused when you see the different names however, it is all about the same, fun-filled outdoor activity!

On an important note: The motto for this outdoor activity is ‘the wetter the better’.

While this activity might sound dangerous to some, specialist equipment is provided and you will be closely supervised by the professional and experienced instructors the whole time.
