Climb the Mine
Half Day

Climb The Mine is a truly unique half-day activity in the Lake District which is the underground version of the Via Ferrata course of our partner.

It is an experience that can be found nowhere else in the country!

For those who seek the thrill of caving and the challenges of climbing.

Set inside the Honister slate mine, one of the few operational slate mines in the UK, Climb the Mine is an underground, adrenaline filled adventure course, including;

• Climbing steep walls and ladders
• Traversing across massive underground chambers on wire bridges
• Tarzan swing
• Zip wire

The course is travelling deep underground a Lake District Mountain to give you a unique experience.

Just don’t forget to enjoy the view while you put yourself to the test!

Similarly to the Via Ferrata course, you are connected to a steel safety cable, as you tackle the activity.

Also, all specialist equipment is provided so you will know you are in the safe hands of professionals.

Before you start, your instructor will explain the simple safety system to you, and help settle any nerves. You will have a practise, whilst still safely on the floor!
